WE-ACTx For Hope, in partnership with the Rwanda Biomedical Center (RBC), conducted a highly impactful HIV awareness campaign in Kinazi Sector, Ruhango District. The event brought together over 5,000 participants, including key populations and adolescent girls and young women (AGYW), focusing on critical issues such as HIV prevention, sexual and reproductive health, and family planning.

Key Highlights:

Education on HIV Prevention: Participants were sensitized on ways to prevent new HIV infections, including addressing new strains of the virus and the importance of regular testing and treatment.
Condom Distribution: Over 8,000 condoms were distributed to promote safe sexual practices and reduce HIV transmission risks.
Reproductive Health Advocacy: Discussions included preventing unwanted pregnancies and fostering awareness around sexual reproductive health and family planning.
Community Engagement: The campaign emphasized interactive sessions to address the unique needs of key populations and AGYW, ensuring they received targeted support and education.
This mass campaign demonstrated WE-ACTx For Hope’s commitment to empowering communities with knowledge and resources to combat HIV/AIDS and improve overall health. By reaching diverse groups within the community, including vulnerable populations, the event played a crucial role in reducing HIV transmission and promoting healthier lifestyles.
